Every bottle starts under a glacier. The water is drawn from beneath the ice, where it has been held out of contact with the surface for a very long time, then treated only as much as safety requires. It arrives soft, low in minerals and almost without character of its own — which is exactly what a vodka needs if the grain is going to be heard.
The house's clearest statement. Selected wheat and rye are distilled ten times, then carried through five filtration stages — activated charcoal first, then quartz crystal and gold — until what is left is soft, round and faintly malted. It is a vodka made to be poured cold and drunk neat, in front of people you want to impress.
The same glacial water and the same distillery discipline, dressed in black. Original is the fuller of the two — a touch more grain weight on the palate, a longer finish, and enough backbone to hold its shape against citrus, tonic or ice. This is the bottle that belongs on the back bar rather than in the cabinet.
No styling tricks and no substitutions — these are the two bottles that arrive in the case, shot under the light they are usually poured in.
Nothing in the process is unusual on its own. What makes the difference is how many times each step is repeated before anyone is allowed to move on to the next one.
Wheat for softness, rye for structure. Both are graded before milling; anything that fails goes back.
Milled grain meets glacial water. Fermentation is run slow and cool to keep harsh congeners from forming in the first place.
Each pass narrows the cut. By the tenth, what remains is almost entirely the part of the spirit worth keeping.
Activated charcoal strips what distillation left behind. Quartz crystal and gold finish the job and give the vodka its polish.
Filled, sealed and hand-checked. The bottle is heavy on purpose — it is meant to stay on the table, not in the bin.
